Philosophy | You know that feeling when you eat something you love and don't want the experience to end? By launching a limited edition of its iconic burgers (Triple McBurger, Double Fillet O Fish, Triple Cheeseburger), McDonald’s plays with time and extends the happiness of enjoying a good burger, making it last even triple and double as long as usual. Inspired by our friends in the UK, we launched a series of 3 commercials featuring none other than Paula Selling’s hit song “Time”, one of the most memorable Romanian songs in the last decades. The commercials illustrate various characters feeling intense sadness over the empty napkins of their former burgers, while the soundtracks evokes the nostalgia of not being able to turn back time. The commercials also feature cameo scenes of Mihai Bobonete, a beloved Romanian actor and stand-up comediant, in an effort to anchor the campaign even more in Romanian culture. The star is even doing a karaoke bit of the soundtrack and has his own interpretation of McDonald’s famous jingle. |
