Story | Every Christmas there are children who do not receive gifts because their families are struggling financially and cannot afford the expense. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program try to ensure that these children have a wonderful holiday season with their families. The Salvation Army match group and individual sponsors to local children in need. Sponsors simply register and then Salvation Army send them a wishlist with their specific “Angels”. The gifts kids receive came from those anonymous people or organizations. The process is built to maintain parent’s dignity and let them give a gift directly to their children. Those gifts are often the only ones they receive on Christmas. |
